ITINERARY
A short trip outside of Quito will take you to a marvelous rose farm. The rich lands, natural springs and privileged weather, including 12 hours of daylight, makes possible the production for the largest and most colorful roses in the world. After the visit you will continue to the pristine and natural refuge known as the Antisana Ecological Reserve. It is wedged between the Cayambe-Coca Ecological Reserve and the Sumaco Napo Galeras National Park, which together possess an immense amount of natural wealth and rich diversity in flora and fauna. Enjoy the striking mountains, dense forests and crystal-clear lakes that reflect the natural beauty of this area. With some luck the shy Antisana volcano will bestow its presence upon you. The volcano rises to a height of 5,758 meters above sea level. During your visit you will be served a delicious lunch at a local hacienda where you can relax in the peaceful, wild air of the Ecuadorian Andes. Afterwards, you will arrive at your selected hotel where you will stay the night resting while your body reaps the benefits of the famous natural springs of the area.
Wake up to enjoy the superb service and the relaxing, healing powers of the natural hot springs. The subterranean activity of the volcanoes heats the waters here in pools ranging from 36-40°C (96-105 F). The thermal pools are well known for their therapeutic properties and their unique origin gives them a perfect mineral concentration that will help you to relax and relieve any type of muscular or joint pains. In addition, there are beautiful grasslands and trails through the landscapes perfect for walking.
After a delicious lunch, you will embark on the return to Quito, but not before a final intriguing experience at an untouched piece of land. This time, it is a forest teeming with flocks of wild birds and a growing orchid garden full of blooms and an enormous selection of local species, considered to be one of the richest places in the world in terms of its wildlife diversity.
